A Primitive Trestle Work Table / Console, Scandinavia Wabi Sabi c. 1800s

A rustic work table in pine, raised on a trestle base with shaped block feet and through-tenon joinery. The lower stretcher is formed as an open box or trough, likely once used for tools or storage, adding sculptural depth to the base. Heavily worn plank top with a deeply weathered surface, old splits, and nail traces throughout. Its narrow, elongated form and rugged patina make it equally striking used as intended or repurposed as a console table. Good antique condition, structurally sound, with wear, checking, and losses consistent with age and use.
